Chaos



The Logistic Map : Pure, Absolute, Unadulterated, Euphoric Ecstasy abounds!

That, and Italics shouldn't be a binary state of a piece of text, there should be more degrees of slant.

I shouldn't be saying that this beautifully summarizes most of what is today, chaos theory - that would be diminutive of the even more beautiful field of chaos theory!

But the simplicity, man, beats all the simplifications we have ever known!
Think of putting chaos, known enough as leading all the most difficult and complex problems, into something so beautifully put and so simple - insurpassable, I suppose.

Now for the usual Flu-Therm shag... We were told about something called a Henon map by BSVP - of course, for solving turbulence and turbulence control problems. A quick read, and I see it is a simplified version of the first recurrence for a Lorenz attractor! And guess the Flu connection, but for the obvious one of chaos...

Noe for the cream, the Lorenz map was derived from simplified equations for Natural Convection in the atmosphere! And the Prandtl and Rayleigh numbers make a beautiful appearance in the equation for the Lorenz butterfly.
